I’ve lived and shopped in plenty of cities to know a great boutique when I see one. Northeast Ohioans and visitors alike are lucky that our women’s boutiques stretch all throughout Northeastern Ohio and vary in style and price point. There truly is something for everyone in every neighborhood. While I love to shop for sport all over town, in this post I’d like to showcase four boutiques in two neighborhoods that stand out as all stars.
+East – Chagrin Falls
Haven Style House is one of the village’s newest boutiques. Specializing in small runs of production, buying something at Haven is a safe bet if you’re looking to standout and have (nearly) no one else own your outfit- in the Northeast Ohio area anyway. The two co-owners personally shop for all the brands and styles in New York City seasonally. Aside from picking up great basics and flirty dresses, Haven offers private shopping parties and a full cosmetics bar, which is available for makeup applications on request. Details on the store and hours can be found here.
Sanity is a staple boutique in Chagrin Falls with a serious amount of inventory. This boutique offers a great designer denim selection, and provides complimentary alterations on their jeans. A must for short ladies like myself! They also have a rocking shoe collection of varying styles and prices. I picked up a super trendy hat for $36 dollars when I was out photographing for this post, I just couldn’t resist. Check out Sanity online here.
+West – Tremont
Evie Lou is a boutique owned and curated by former Plain Dealer style and fashion editor, Kim Crow. Evie Lou recently relocated to the other end of Professor Street to a glorious new custom space. Not only do they feature ‘cozy chic’ basics, but also a wide variety of jewelry, including Alexis Bittar. My absolute favorite part of shopping in Tremont is that the boutiques stay open until 9pm on the weekends to easily accommodate drinks or dinner plans. Check out Evie Lou’s website here for details. After visiting Evie Lou, pop in to see their neighbor, Wine & Design for some home interiors and plenty of wines to-go.
Founded in 2001, women’s clothing is the backbone of Banyan Tree. They have their own line, Figwood, designed by owner Christine Murdock. They also offer much more – accessories, home wares, and a children’s line, so if you’re shopping with others in tow there is something for everyone. Every holiday season Banyan hosts a hot toddy party and it is my favorite shopping event of the season, a must for picking up thoughtful gifts! Also open until 9pm, they are located just a storefront away from Lolita, one of Michael Symon’s famous restaurants that is perfect for a quick patio cocktail or a celebratory dinner. Get the details on Banyan Tree here.
Whatever your shopping taste, I hope you choose to do it locally! Our region offers so many boutiques that can’t be missed. Leave a comment and share your favorite Northeast Ohio shops around town.
