Namaste in NEO

Yoga is certainly one of the more popular fitness options today, but there is a growing trend of yoga events that take your downward dog for a walk outside the studio. Northeast Ohio offers a lot of great options for yogis who want to practice in less traditional settings.

Balance & Brews

Balance & Brews events take place at local craft breweries around Cleveland (and beyond). Admission to a Balance & Brews event includes a vinyasa-style yoga class, as well as a complimentary beer to enjoy after class. These events not only give you the opportunity to try a new brewery or beer, but also to hang out with your fellow “beer yogis” after class and cultivate a real sense of community. Balance & Brews has recently expanded to offering events at CLE Urban Winery and Rising Star Coffee Roasters, too, so there’s a yoga/beverage pairing to suit everyone! Check out their full line-up of events here.

Groundswell Collective

Groundswell Collective seeks to build community through movement. Their events include things like Cleveland is my OM (a combination yoga/retreat/community marketplace), rooftop yoga, Soul Revival Wednesdays at 78th Street Studios (a yin practice with sound immersion) and sunset paddleboarding. Their events are always collaborative, inspirational, and fun! Check out their full line-up of events here.

Believe in CLE

Spearheaded by Inner Bliss Yoga Studio, these events take over iconic Cleveland spaces such as the plaza at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Quicken Loans Arena, and the atrium at the Cleveland Museum of Art, to bring art and Cleveland together in moving and often massive style. Stay up to date on the plans for the next event here.

SOL Yoga and Brunch

Harmony Yoga Studios and SOL offer a monthly Saturday yoga and brunch pairing that includes an all-levels vinyasa class, live music, and $5 Bloody Mary and mimosa specials, along with a specially-created yogi brunch.

As the weather warms, also stay tuned for outdoor yoga opportunities at Cleveland Public Square, U.S. Bank Plaza at Playhouse Square, and Cleveland Metroparks Edgewater Live.
