Grab your Gals for a Galentine’s Day Celebration!

February is here! It’s a great time to celebrate those you love in your life, including your girlfriends!

Galentine’s Day celebrations, inspired by “Parks and Rec,” have become a fun way to enjoy time with your gal pals, whether single or taken.

As a self-proclaimed expert on quality girl time, here are some of my favorite Galentine’s suggestions:

Wine Down

There are lots of wonderful wineries in Northeast Ohio that make the perfect destination for some girl time on the town.

You can enjoy a glass or two of wine, some meat and cheese, and kick back with your gal pals. Two of my favorite wineries are Ferrante Winery in Geneva and Gervasi Vineyard in Canton. Both have great wines and food and are open year-round.

If staying in is more your style, head to your favorite specialty shop for some yummy nibbles and have your friends each bring a favorite bottle to try each other’s go-to sippers.

Get Crafty

Wine and paint events have become so popular lately. They make for a great girls night out activity, where you can not only relax with your friends, but also show your creative side and have a take-home treasure.

Pinot’s Palette, with locations in Olmsted Falls and Woodmere, is a great choice for wine and paint, with a studio especially designed for these classes, lots of trained instructors, and of course, a full service bar! I highly recommend a Cleveland-themed painting, of course!

You can also try your hand at glass blowing at The Glass Bubble Project or The Glass Asylum for another fun, hands-on, creative option!

Laugh About It

Nothing brings people together like laughter! Check out a comedy show at Hilarities 4th Street Theatre, with dinner at Pickwick & Frolic beforehand.

Sweat It Out

Next to laughter, there’s nothing to refresh your spirit and recharge your battery like working out. Sign up for a yoga class with your gal pals.

There are a lot of options now that expand the yoga experience beyond just practice to include a beer, a glass of wine, or brunch after class or simply taking you to a cool new location.

Pamper Yourself

Spa WestSpa Walden, and The Spa at Yellow Creek are great options to not only have a chance to unwind and freshen your own look, but have a chance to spend quiet time with your gal pals too.

Brunch So Hard

My girlfriends and I have found brunch to be one of the best times to sneak off for some girl time.

There are so many fabulous places to brunch in Cleveland, but The Flying FigFahrenheit, and Luxe Kitchen and Lounge are three top choices for me, with delicious food, great mimosas, and the perfect environment for a girls’ Sunday Funday.

However you celebrate your gal pals around Valentine’s Day, remember to take time to celebrate and treat yo’selves!
